Engineered Open Mesh Upper — Breathable, Padded, and Locked In
The Cloud X 5 features an engineered open mesh upper crafted from recycled polyester — a lightweight, highly breathable construction that keeps the foot cool and well-ventilated during high-intensity training sessions where heat buildup is a real factor. The minimal, sleek design keeps the silhouette clean and versatile enough to transition effortlessly from the gym floor to the street, while the low-profile build makes it easy to toss in a gym bag without adding bulk. Additional padding in both the tongue and collar delivers a noticeably more cushioned, wraparound fit that holds the foot securely in place during the lateral, multi-directional movements that define cross-training — jump squats, side shuffles, burpees, and everything in between. The reinforced heel construction provides excellent heel hold during these multilateral movements, reducing slippage and keeping the shoe firmly in place when the training gets intense. The Helion superfoam base provides the midsole's foundational flexibility and stability — a fine-tuned compound that rebounds quickly underfoot and supports the foot's natural movement through the wide range of motions that cross-training demands. Training-optimized CloudTec pods on the outsole deliver targeted cushioning and impact absorption with every landing, while deeper flex grooves throughout the forefoot — the key structural change from the Cloud X 4 — maximize the shoe's flexibility and promote smooth, natural transitions during both linear and lateral movements.
