The upper is crafted from classic suede leather, a split leather with a naturally napped, velvety finish that is soft and supple to the touch and has a warmth that works just as well with thick socks in autumn as it does bare in summer. A suede footbed lining continues that softness directly underfoot, while a natural leather insole provides lasting structure beneath.

The Soft Footbed is what sets this Boston apart from the standard version. Built on Birkenstock's legendary cork-latex contoured base — made in Germany — it features an integrated latex foam cushion layer that delivers exceptional comfort right from the very first wear. There's no waiting for a break-in period here. A deep heel cup holds the heel firmly in its natural position, interior and exterior arch supports cradle both sides of the foot, a transverse arch support stabilizes the metatarsal bones, and raised toe grips allow natural toe movement with every step. A flexible, lightweight EVA outsole rounds out the construction underfoot.

An adjustable metal pin-buckle strap lets you fine-tune the fit throughout the day.
