The Hoka hype is real!

Very comfortable running shoes. The overall feel is similar to the New Balance 1080, but slightly plusher. I'm hoping that when combined with custom orthotics they're just what I'll need to recover from a moderate case of plantar fasciitis.

Best shoes for Achilles Tendon pain

I read a lot of reviews and suggestions online before purchasing my first pair of Hokas. The Bondi 8 was by far the most comfortable shoe I had tried on, and I love walking in these for exercise. The cushioned insole takes the stress off of an otherwise achy Achilles tendon. Although I was concerned about the mesh upper (other brands had torn/worn through), the shoes have lasted me for more than a year. The service at the Herndon area store was fantastic.

Improvements: Toe box is too narrow still, but I think this last pair seeded a better fit, but I still had to buy the extra wide model.

I bought the extra wide toe box version. Regular sizes for Hoka are too narrow for my feet.
